The 2023 Latinas LEAD Power Summit Sticker was designed by Mayra. It was orginally a watercolor painting that was converted to a digital piece.

The phrase that inspired the art piece is: “Beautiful and Resilient/Hermosa y resiliente.”

Mayra is a Xicana watercolor artist in Denver. She’s originally from Santa Ana, CA and is a Social Worker by day. The name of her business is Cempaxochilt Arts. Mayra’s mission is to create art that sparks and lasts a lifetime. She sells original watercolor art, prints, and can be booked for commissions. Her art is rooted in her Latinx and Indigenous roots that help her connect to her ancestors and what bring her joy. Mayra paints a window into her culture for all viewers and is motivated by the way it grounds her. Her watercolor art is both her self-care practice and a way to celebrate her roots.
