Grantmaking

The Latino Community Foundation of Colorado’s (LCFC) Ayuda Fund provides grants to Latino-led and serving nonprofit organizations that address critical community needs and advance social change across the state. These investments build the capacity of leadership, nonprofits and communities that align with LCFC’s values of generational well-being, community leadership, and cultural justice.

The grant priorities of the Ayuda Fund are:

  • Support for historically underserved and under-resourced communities in rural, suburban and urban areas

  • Latino-led organizations as reflected by the Executive Director or CEO is Latino/a, at least 51% of the management team is Latino/a, and at least 51% of the board are Latinos/as

FAQ

  • LCFC’s funding supports Latino-led and serving nonprofit organizations working in Colorado.

    In order to receive funding, grantees should meet LCFC’s funding guidelines and align with our organizational values.

    At times, there are also opportunities that expand on these elegiblity requirements. Check back to learn more or subscribe to our newsletter.

  • For most funding opportunities, organizations should meet the following criteria:

    1) Organization must be a Colorado-based 501c3 or have a fiscal agent who is a 501c3
    2) Organization must be Latino-serving (at least 51% or more of the population served is Latino/a)
    3) Organizations must be Latino-led. This requires meeting two of the three criteria outlined below:

    • Executive Director/CEO is Latino/a

    • Management team is at least 51% Latino/a

    • Board members are at least 51% Latino/a

  • The LCFC does not provide funding for special events, scholarships or individuals, nor capital campaigns.

  • There are times when a funding opportunity is open to organizations that serve a broader population, however, priority is given to organizations that focus on historically underserved or under-resourced communities.
